On May 30th at Dundas Square in Toronto, 930 Saxophones played the Hockey Night in Canada theme at the same time. Richard Underhill and The Shuffle Demons thank all the amazing Sax players that came out and broke the World Record with them. The feat still has to be approved officially. The previous record was 321 set last January.

Blue Rodeo’s horn section leader and Juno-winning Richard Underhill has gotten together with former band mates from The Shuffle Demons to stage a very special event. They’re inviting sax players of all levels and ages to get together May 30th at Dundas Square in Toronto to attempt the Guiness Book of World Records for most saxophones playing one song (Hockey Night in Canada theme).

The band is embarking on the very first tour of their career in April and May. So far, it will keep them close to their Toronto home with six dates in Southern Ontario and a couple in Quebec. More dates are expected to be announced soon.
